Business Women Awards announced the 2014 winners at the Lighthouse Poole on 11th June. Hosted by Dan Mills from Heart and Tara Howard, Venus Awards Founder.
Simone Thomas from Mwah, won the Dorset 2014 NatWest Venus Award in Category Marketing & PR.
The NatWest Venus Awards Dorset Ceremony in association with Breeze Volkswagen was held on the 11th June – Hosted at the state of the art Lighthouse.
Simone is delighted to have been named a finalist in both the Entrepreneur and Small Business of the year categories. Having opened what is now one of the region’s most popular hair and beauty salons, Simone has also reinvested heavily into the company, launching two supplementary businesses: Hair Loss Bournemouth – helping those who have lost their hair due to cancer and other medical reasons – and Wigs by Simone, offering only the most stylish wigs to her discerning client base. Simone attributes her success to her hard work and that of her talented team.
After Winning the Award, Simone gave us her Feedback about the Venus Awards:
“Firstly it brought such an over whelming feeling to all the staff within the business and made them so proud of us working as a team. Our clients were behind us and so thrilled we were up for two awards. The local area and even further areas we were getting messages of good luck. I believe it has helped my business and my staff stand out from the other salons in Dorset and shows us all the long hours, the tears and the heartache is worth the effort and skills we put into our role.”
Following thousands of votes, over 2000 nominations and applications and a mixture of anticipation and excitement, the Dorset Venus Business Women Awards announced the 2014 winners at the Lighthouse Poole on 11th June. Hosted by Dan Mills from Heart and Tara Howard, Venus Awards Founder.
