Helen Ruff Finalist for Networker of the Year

It seems difficult to run a business in the internet or rather use internet to have an advantage in business world by running an online business. So Venus Awards have decided that there should be an internal category called “Networker of the Year”.

Helen Ruff is the editor at the “Doily Days Love Weddings”.  She sells advertising, decides upon editorial content, source images, arranges distribution and network. She also manages the event side of the business – styling, hire and event management. She oversees the sales and marketing activity, personally manages client accounts, liaise with suppliers, works on new products/services and builds professional relationships with similar businesses.  Incorporated in 2009, Doily Days started with a humble collection of vintage china. The collection grew and grew, collaborations were formed and additional services were added; jam/chutney wedding favours and VW campervan hire. Director, Helen Ruff, knew she had a passion for rustic/vintage/relaxed style and has spent very happy summers amidst celebrations in barns, marquees and woodlands. The business has grown organically over the years and now Doily Days also offer various hire items (including deck chairs and sweet jars),hen parties, networking events for wedding professionals and a bi-annual wedding magazine.
