Recognising Local Business Women
For many people it is absolutely not sure that you leave your way to help others. But there are a couple of people for whom it is. Therefore there is an extra category called “Inspirational Woman of the Year”.
The sponsor of this category is Roedean School, an independent day and boarding school in Sussex for girls aged 11-18. Roedean aims to provide a stimulating education and exciting extra-curricular opportunities in an environment which is supportive and friendly. The pupils are encouraged to be self-reliant, explore their talents and strive for excellence. That is why caring and committed staff ensure that the pupils make informed decisions, lead as well as be part of a team, appreciate cultural diversity, but also are fair and honest as well as respectful and pardoning.
One of the finalists in this category is Benita Matofska. She is a Founder, CEO, innovator and social entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the private and third sectors. Her career spans broadcasting, communications, marketing, business development, social innovation, tech innovation, fundraising and campaigns. She is an exceptional CEO, public speaker and marketeer. Dedicated to innovation and the power of ideas, she is a strategic leader who has successfully launched two media companies, devised and produced TV campaigns and award-winning series and built a global youth campaign now in 104 countries. She is Founder of technology company Compare and Share and Founder of The People Who Share, a global campaign and movement dedicated to building a global Sharing Economy, the pioneer behind Global Sharing Day.
