Cathedral Appointments Employer of the Year in Devon – Anne Walker

Apart from being finalist in the category of Bishop Fleming Entrepreneur of the Year, Anne Walker is also nominated for the Cathedral Appointments Employer of the Year award, which is given to employers or managers in Devon who foster a female friendly working environment.

From starting to teach dance in church halls, Anne Walker has become a successful businesswoman. She owns International Dance Supplies, a family business dedicated to selling quality costumes and dancewear since 1978, being one of the UK’s largest dancewear companies.

Previously Anne Walker had been nominated for an Award. In 2010, in recognition of her contribution to business, she was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) and in 2011 she received the Hera Award in the everywoman awards.
